This group is for Games User Researchers or those that are interested in Games User Research in the San Francisco Bay Area.  In addition to keeping in touch on the Games User Research group on LinkedIn, we sought a need to organize face-to-face meetups to further build our community and facilitate the exchanges information and ideas.

BIG strives to demystify the video gaming industry for people of color. We assist individuals in evolving from consumers to producers of video games and apps. To accomplish our goals, BIG provides networking, outreach, mentoring, and entrepreneurship guidance to professionals and students.

Gamification and use of game dynamics/mechanics in non-game contexts is next wave on the internet. To quote Seth Priesbatch "This decade is the decade of games". Community owners, entrepreneurs, application developers and marketers need to understand and leverage gamification techniques to their advantage.
